Indus Garments India Private Limited is situated at No. 5/6 Sundar Mansions. We are in Raghavendra Layout, which is just off Tumkur Road. Being near Tumkur Road means there are always big trucks passing by nearby. Our building, Sundar Mansions, is a bit of an older structure. We have our setup on one of the floors there. It’s a practical space. We’ve got the cutting machines and the sewing lines all laid out to make the most of the room we have. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs more than we’d like. The layout is mostly industrial, so it’s not very green around here, but it’s good for business. We have a lot of people working here, mostly from the surrounding neighborhoods. We keep the radio playing softly in the background sometimes to keep the mood light. It’s a lot of hard work, especially when the deadlines are close. We have piles of finished clothes in plastic bags waiting to be sent out. The tables are scarred from years of use, and the chairs aren't the most comfortable, but they do the job. We don’t have any fancy brochures. People just find us through word of mouth or by seeing the address in the layout. We just keep our heads down and make sure the stitching is straight and the buttons are on tight. That is how we have always done it.
