Card Whisperer

We are based in Indira Nagar, which is a pretty lively part of town. Card Whisperer isn't a huge operation. It’s mostly just a few of us working with paper and ink. Our space is small and often cluttered with samples and scraps of cardstock. You can find us near the main shops, but we’re tucked away enough that it’s not too loud. We spend a lot of time looking at different colors and textures. It’s the kind of work that gets your hands dirty with ink. We don't have a big corporate structure. If someone calls, they’re probably talking to the same person who will be handling their order. We use a lot of old-fashioned pens and sometimes we have to wait for things to dry before we can move them. The shelves are overflowing with envelopes and different types of paper we’ve collected over the years. Indira Nagar is a good place to be because there's always something happening nearby, but we mostly stay inside and focus on the details of the cards. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just like working with paper. Sometimes the printer acts up and we have to spend the afternoon cleaning the heads. It’s just how it goes. We take our time and try to get things right without rushing too much. It’s a quiet, steady kind of business for us.
