Indigo Airways

We've been here in Paroppady for a while now. Most people around Calicut know where we are because it’s a pretty busy spot on the main road. We handle travel stuff, mostly getting folks on flights and sorted out with their tickets when they need to go somewhere. It’s not always easy work, things get delayed or the weather gets weird in Kerala, but we just try to get the work done. I usually start the day with a lot of paperwork and a cup of tea from the shop next door. The phones ring quite a bit throughout the afternoon. People come in asking about prices to different cities or wanting to change their dates. We keep things pretty simple in the office. It’s just a couple of desks, some old chairs, and computers that sometimes take a minute to load. Nothing fancy here. Sometimes the heavy rain here in Calicut makes it hard for people to actually come into the shop, so we end up doing a lot over the phone or through messages. We've seen a lot of changes in how people travel since we started. Some people want the cheapest seat possible and others just want to get there fast. We just look at the screens and see what's available. It's a lot of typing and checking flight numbers. The office is right on the street, so it's easy to find if you're looking for us. We don't have big flashing signs, just the name on the glass door.
