Indian Airlines

This branch for Indian Airlines is located at Maria Villa, which is No. 161 in the St. Thomas Town Post area of Bangalore. We are on Gandhi Road in Kammanahalli. It is a bit different because we are operating out of a house that belongs to A. Issac. It makes the whole place feel more like a home than a typical airline office. The neighborhood is full of trees and it is mostly quiet, except for the occasional car passing by on Gandhi Road. We have a few rooms inside the villa that we use for our desks and all the filing we have to do. There is a small porch where we sometimes sit for a minute if the weather is nice. We don't have any big neon signs or anything like that, just a small board so people know they have the right place. Most of our work is dealing with the paperwork that comes in from the main offices. We have to go to the post office in St. Thomas Town quite a bit to send out documents. It is a slow and steady kind of work. We don't have a lot of visitors, but when we do, they usually just sit on the chairs in the main room while we look for whatever they need. It is a very practical setup and we have gotten used to the layout.
