India Tourism Development Corporation Ltd.

Our office for the India Tourism Development Corporation is located at Door No. 521 on Thunghabhadra Road. It's in the Yaragana Halli area of Mysore, right near Sidhartha Nagar. It’s not right in the middle of all the palaces and tourist spots, which is actually kind of nice because it stays a bit quieter around here. The building is just a standard place with white walls and some wooden furniture that’s seen better days. We have a lot of maps and brochures lying around on the shelves. Most days, we are just typing things into the system or answering questions from folks who wander in. Mysore is a beautiful place, so we get people asking about all sorts of things. The road outside can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up. We have a small kettle in the corner for making coffee during the breaks. My desk is right by the window, so I watch the autos go by while I work. It’s a steady kind of job. No one is wearing suits here or anything like that. We just wear our regular clothes and try to get through the stack of paperwork before the end of the day. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit and we just wait it out. It's just a simple office where we handle tourism matters for the government side of things. It is practical and gets the job done.
