Inde Enterprises

Getting up to the seventh floor of the Manipal Centre on Dickenson Road can be a bit of a wait if the elevators are acting up. Once you're inside Inde Enterprises, you’ll mostly see stacks of folders and people on the phone. It’s a busy spot because of where we are located in the city. The view from the window is mostly other buildings and a slice of the sky, which is nice when it isn't too hazy out. We’ve got a small pantry area where the kettle is always on. Most of us have been working together for a few years now, so we know who likes their coffee strong and who complains about the air conditioning being too cold. The desks are covered in sticky notes and old pens that barely work. It’s a practical space, meant for getting through the paperwork and handling the orders that come in. Lunch breaks usually involve going downstairs to find something quick to eat, though some people prefer to stay in and chat. The noise from the traffic below is constant, but it becomes like background music after a while. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and see us working. It’s a simple setup, nothing too special to look at, but it’s where we spend our eight hours every day. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay organized.
