Indage Software is run from Sri Hanuma Nilaya, which is a building on 3rd Cross in Ramamurthy Nagar. It’s a residential-looking area in Bangalore, so our office feels a bit more like a home than a cold corporate building. We are at number 326. Inside, the rooms are filled with computers and cables everywhere. We do software and services, so there’s a lot of coding and troubleshooting going on at all hours. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. Usually, if you knock, one of the developers will just get up and open the door. The team is fairly small, and we’ve gotten to know the neighborhood quite well over the years. Ramamurthy Nagar has its own charm, with small shops and a lot of trees. Our work is mostly technical, and we spend a lot of time staring at screens and trying to figure out why a piece of code isn't working right. It can be frustrating sometimes, but that’s just the nature of the job. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just build software and help people fix their systems when things break. Sometimes we work late to finish a project, and other times things are quiet enough that we can leave early. It’s a flexible, honest way to work without all the unnecessary polish of a big city firm. We just focus on the screens and the code.
