Our place is at 4 Shiva Sai Enclave, specifically Flat 402. It’s located in the Doctors Layout area of Simha Colony, which is over in Chikkalasandra. Being in a flat means it feels a bit more like a home than a stiff office building. We are on the fourth floor, so there’s a bit of a view of the surrounding rooftops and trees in Bangalore. The layout of the flat is a bit unusual for an office, with different rooms used for different parts of the work. It makes for a bit of a maze sometimes, but we like the privacy it gives us. The enclave is generally quieter than the main roads, which is nice when we need to concentrate. We have our computers and files set up in the main living area and the bedrooms. It’s a bit of a walk up if the lift is being cranky, but usually, it works fine. The neighborhood is mostly families, so you hear the sounds of everyday life rather than just traffic. We’ve got a small kitchen area where we make coffee and keep our snacks. It’s a very grounded way to work, without all the bells and whistles of a high-rise. We just focus on what needs to be done each day and keep things moving. The light coming through the windows in the morning is quite nice and helps us get started. We have been here for a while now and it suits us just fine.
