Working out of Bangalore is always interesting because the city never really stops. Here at Icici Lombard Gic, we spend our days dealing with a lot of numbers and forms. It’s the kind of job where you really have to pay attention to the details. Our office is just one of many in this big city, but we try to keep a friendly atmosphere inside. The traffic outside is usually a mess, especially when it rains, but we've all gotten used to the commute by now. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We just show up, sit at our desks, and help people with their insurance needs. Most of the staff here have been in Bangalore for a long time, so we know the local spots for a quick lunch. It’s a busy environment and the phones ring quite a bit throughout the afternoon. We don’t have any fancy speeches about what we do. We just do it. Sometimes the air conditioning is too cold and someone has to find the remote to turn it down. It’s just a normal office life for us. We handle the claims and the policies as they come in. Being in a city like this means things move fast, but we try to take it one step at a time. It's a solid place to work and we get along well enough with the people in the neighboring buildings.
