It’s a bit weird having an email address as our main contact point in the records, but that’s how it is for this branch of Icici Bank Ltd. We handle a lot of the digital side of things, so we’re mostly stuck behind keyboards and monitors all day. You won't find a big marble lobby or a security guard at a front door with this specific setup. We just deal with the flow of information and requests that come through the system. It gets pretty repetitive, looking at numbers and names for hours on end. There’s no big window with a view here, just some grey walls and the constant sound of typing. We take our breaks when we can, usually just grabbing a quick snack or a tea from the machine in the corner. It’s not the kind of job people write movies about, but it’s how we pay the bills and keep things moving. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just process the data and make sure the bank's records stay updated. It’s a lot of responsibility, even if it feels quiet and small from the outside. We just keep our heads down and get through the queue of work.
