We operate out of a flat in Shanti Kunj New Park, which is part of the HIG-I5 apartments on Garia Station Road. It’s right in Wilson Garden in Kolkata, and you’ll find us opposite A1 Motors. Since we are in an apartment building, it feels a bit more like a home than a regular office. We have desks set up in the main room where we handle all the travel bookings. Garia Station Road is always buzzing with people and vehicles, so it can get pretty loud during the day. We spend most of our time looking at train schedules and flight prices on the computer. People from the nearby apartments often drop by to ask about bus tickets or to see if we can help them plan a trip to the mountains. We have a lot of old brochures and printouts scattered around. It’s not a polished corporate space; we have our tea and snacks while we work, and the doorbell is always ringing. We know the area well and often help people find their way around the neighborhood too. Working from Wilson Garden means we see the same faces every day, which is nice. We just try to get the bookings done correctly so nobody gets stuck at the station. It’s a small operation, just us and a couple of phone lines. We keep at it from morning till evening, making sure the paperwork for the trips is all in order.
