We are over in the Ramakrishnappa area of Bangalore. Being chartered accountants who also handle HR stuff means we spend a lot of time looking at numbers and tax codes. It’s a mix of different tasks every day. One minute we are calculating someone’s take-home pay and the next we are looking at their employment contract to see if everything is in order. The office is usually full of files and ledgers stacked up. We have been working out of this location for a good while. People come to us when they are confused about their taxes or how to set up their payroll systems correctly. We don't have a big team, just a few people who know their way around an audit. The Bangalore traffic can be a real pain but we are usually here early to get a head start on the day. It’s mostly quiet work, just typing away and double-checking the math. We handle the paperwork for a variety of local businesses and shops. Sometimes we have to explain the latest rules from the government to our clients so they don't get into trouble. We aren't into big marketing or anything like that. We just do the work and people seem to find us. It’s a lot of responsibility making sure the books are right and the staff are looked after properly. We keep things pretty simple in the office. It's just about getting the balance sheets and the HR files in order every month.
