Hotel Thetaj West End

I’m Bibin and I work as a Guest Service Assistant here at Hotel Thetaj West End. Our address is 23 Race Course Road in Bangalore. It’s a very green area with lots of big trees and it feels different from the rest of the noisy city. My day usually starts early in the morning. I have to make sure everything is ready for whoever is coming in or leaving. It’s not just standing at a desk all day. I’m often running around the hallways or checking on things in the back rooms. Sometimes guests have strange requests or they are in a hurry, and we just do our best to help them out. The building has a lot of history and you can feel it when you walk through the long corridors. It’s not always easy work. My feet usually ache by the end of my shift. We have a lot of staff here but everyone just sticks to their own tasks and gets on with it. We don’t have big speeches about what we do. We just do it because it’s our job. Karnataka weather is mostly good, but when it rains hard, things get a bit chaotic around the entrance with all the umbrellas. I like being on Race Course Road because it’s a nice part of Bangalore-01. It’s a real place with real daily problems and we just manage them day by day as they come up.
