Finding us at 866 Chickpet 6th Cross is a bit of an adventure if you aren't from around here. This whole area near Tank Bund Road and NS Palya is a maze of narrow streets and shops selling everything you can think of. It’s the heart of the old market district in Bangalore. We’ve been tucked away here for a while now. The 560053 area is never quiet, even late at night you can hear people moving carts or talking in the alleyways. Our place is simple. We don’t have a big fancy entrance. You just come up the 6th cross and look for the name. Most of our guests are traders who come to Chickpet to buy stock for their shops in other towns. They don’t want anything special, just a bed and a fan. We spend a lot of time cleaning because the market outside is quite messy. Sometimes the water truck is late and we have to manage with what’s in the tank. It’s just how things work in this part of the city. I usually drink my tea at the front and watch the crowds go by. It’s amazing how many people fit into these small streets every day. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people knowing we are here. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us on our toes.
