Hotel Leela Palace, Bangalore

This office is tucked away in the Venkateshwara Building over in Kodhihally. It’s No.82/1 on the 5th Main, 5th Cross. If you know Bangalore, you know how confusing these crosses and mains can get. Most people expect Hotel Leela Palace to be some massive gated area, and while the main property is something else, our spot here is where a lot of the actual day-to-day work happens. It’s a bit cramped sometimes with all the paperwork. We’ve got desks piled with files and the coffee machine is usually acting up by noon. The building itself is older, not one of those glass towers. We see the local vendors passing by every morning. The staff here has been together for a long time, so we’re basically like family now, arguing about who left the lights on. It’s not very glamorous, honestly. We spend a lot of time on the phone or coordinate between departments. Sometimes the rain in Bangalore makes the commute to Kodhihally a nightmare, but we’re usually here on time anyway. We don’t really do big speeches or fancy presentations. We just sit here and do the jobs that need doing. It’s a practical setup for us. If you’re looking for the fancy lobby, you might be in the wrong part of the building, but if you want to find the people actually running things, this is it.
