Hotel Kanishka

We've been running Hotel Kanishka here on Kolathur Main Road for a good while now. If you know G.K.M Colony, you probably know where F2 is. It’s a busy spot in Chennai, and we see a lot of people coming through this part of town. The building isn't brand new, but we keep things tidy. We mostly deal with people who just need a place to sleep after a long day of travel or work. It gets quite hot in Chennai, as everyone knows, so we spend a lot of time making sure the fans and lights are working right. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud, but that’s just how it is on the main road. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just a desk and some rooms. Usually, it's just a few of us here making sure the sheets are changed and the floors are swept. We know most of the shopkeepers around G.K.M Colony. It’s a decent neighborhood to be in. We get people from all over who are visiting family or just passing through. We try to be helpful when someone asks for directions to the station or a good place to eat nearby. It’s not a complicated business, just a hotel. We’re just here doing our job every day, opening up early and staying up late to check people in. That’s pretty much us. We just keep the doors open and the rooms ready for whoever stops by.
