Hoodvian

Hoodvian is located at 153 Samrina S Aashray, inside the Rainbow Residency on Sarjapur Road. If you know Bangalore, you know that Sarjapur Road is famous for its long traffic jams and the big IT offices like Wipro right across from us. Being in a residency building means our workspace has a bit of a lived-in feel. It is not your typical cold office environment. We have boxes of inventory stacked in the spare rooms and a couple of large tables where we sort through everything. Sometimes the doorbell rings and it’s a delivery driver or a neighbor just stopping by. We spend a lot of time on our laptops, but there is also a lot of physical work involving packing and checking quality. The light in the building is pretty good during the day, which helps when we are looking at fabrics or labels. We don't have a big reception area or a coffee machine that does ten different types of drinks. We just have a kettle and a jar of instant coffee in the kitchen. The noise from the main road is always there in the background, a constant reminder of how busy the city is. We are a small group and we pretty much do everything ourselves, from the heavy lifting to the final checks. It’s a simple setup in a very busy part of town, and we like it that way.
