You can find Hips And Shoulders at the St Patricks Complex on Brigade Road. Our specific spot is 157/18. Brigade Road is always full of energy and people walking around, so there is never a dull moment outside. The complex itself is an older building with a lot of character and some narrow hallways. Our shop is one of many tucked away inside. It’s a small space, so we have to be very careful about how we arrange everything. We have some racks for the clothes and a small mirror in the corner for people to use. The lighting isn't the best, but it works well enough for what we need. We get a lot of young people coming in since the area is a popular hangout spot. Sometimes the music from the nearby shops spills into our space, creating a bit of a mix of sounds. We have a small counter where we keep the register and some old notebooks. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We spend most of the day tidying up the racks after people have looked through them. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are inside at once, but we make it work. It’s a busy, cramped little shop in one of the most famous parts of the city, and we just keep things running as best as we can.
