Hindustan Agro operates from the Swastik Manandi Arcade at 401/2 on S C Road. Our unit is G-6, which is tucked away inside the arcade building. Being in the Kumara Park area means we are right in the middle of a very busy commercial district. The arcade itself is an older structure, and S C Road is always packed with people and vehicles. Inside our office, we deal with all kinds of agricultural products and information. It is a small space, mostly filled with samples, ledgers, and some old furniture that has seen better days. We talk to a lot of farmers and suppliers who come into the city for business. The air in the arcade is often a bit still, so we keep the door open to get some breeze from the hallway. We have a small desk where we do all our writing and accounting by hand or on an old computer. It is a no-nonsense environment where the focus is on seeds, fertilizers, and other agro-related items. We don't have any big signs or advertisements outside; people usually find us through word of mouth or by looking at the directory in the arcade. It is just a regular office where we spend our hours talking about crops and prices while the city noise continues outside on the main road.
