Heritage Catering Services-Private

Heritage Catering Services is based out of a house in H.B.R. Layout. Specifically, we are at House 266 on the first floor. It is in the 2nd Block, right near the Kalyan Nagar Post Office. Being so close to the post office makes it easy for people to find the turn-off. The kitchen is where most of the action happens. We spend hours chopping vegetables, preparing grains, and getting the heaters ready for the day's orders. Since we are on the first floor, there is a lot of carrying pots and boxes up and down the stairs, which keeps us moving. The smell of spices and cooking oil usually fills up the whole floor by mid-morning. We handle things for local events and private gatherings mostly. It is a family-style environment here, with a few of us working together to get the portions right. We do not have a storefront where you can buy a single meal; it is all about the larger orders for groups. The office part is just a small table with a ledger and a phone. We write down everything by hand usually. It can get pretty hot in the kitchen when all the burners are going, but we are used to it by now. We focus on making the food the way we were taught, using the same recipes we have had for years. It is hard work but it keeps us busy.
