Henna Gift Gallery occupies units 8 and 9 in the Venkateshappa Building. We are situated right near the Venkateswara Theatre, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. This part of Sion Koliwada is always full of life, especially with the Hemant Manjrekar Market being so close by on Kamanahalli Main Road. Our shop is packed with all sorts of things, from small trinkets to bigger items for the home. We spend a lot of time rearranging the displays because new stuff comes in and we run out of room quickly. The floors are made of old tiles and we have to sweep them several times a day because of the foot traffic from the market nearby. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we have a couple of noisy fans going to keep the air moving. People often stop by after watching a movie at the theatre or after doing their vegetable shopping at Hemant Manjrekar Market. It’s a busy corner of the world here. We don't do anything too fancy, just put the items out and help people find what they are looking for. The building itself has seen better days, but it’s a good spot for a gallery. We’ve been here long enough that the local vendors all know us by name. It’s just a regular day-to-day business in a crowded, friendly part of the city. We enjoy the daily bustle.
