Hemanth Chandan Goudar

My name is Hemanth Chandan Goudar. My office is way up on the 10th floor of the High Point building, which is at 4918 Palace Road. We are directly opposite the Chalukya Hotel. Being on the 10th floor means I spend a fair amount of time waiting for the elevators, especially during lunch hours. The view from up here is actually quite good; you can see a lot of the city and the trees along Palace Road. High Point is an older commercial building, so it has a certain character that the new glass boxes don’t have. It can get a bit chilly when the wind blows hard against the windows. The office itself is pretty basic. I have my desk, some filing cabinets, and a few chairs for visitors. It’s a bit of a maze in this building sometimes, but most people find their way eventually. Being near the Chalukya Hotel is a good landmark because everyone knows where that is. The traffic on Palace Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, so I often stay late just to avoid the worst of it. It’s a central location, which makes it convenient for many things, even if the building is a bit dated. I’ve gotten used to the hum of the air conditioners and the distant sound of traffic from down below. It’s just where I do my business every day, nothing more, nothing less.
