Pyramids

Working out of No. 26, 1st Level of the BDA Complex in HBR Layout is an interesting experience. If you’ve ever been to a BDA complex, you know exactly what I mean. It’s full of different offices, people rushing around with files, and that specific smell of old paper and stone floors. We at Pyramids have our small space up on the first level. It’s not a luxury setup by any means. We have some old wooden desks and a few filing cabinets that have seen better days. But it’s central for us and the people in HBR Layout know the building well. We do a lot of work related to architecture and planning. Most of the day is spent drawing or checking on site updates. We get all sorts of people walking through the door asking for directions or looking for other offices since the building is a bit of a maze. We don’t mind. It’s part of being in a public complex like this. We are just a group of professionals who like the technical side of building. We don’t use a lot of flowery language to describe what we do. We just draw the lines and make sure the measurements are right. It’s a steady job and we’ve been at it for years from this same spot. It gets a bit noisy in the afternoons when the complex is busy but we are used to it by now.
