Hastivadana Engineers

Down at Kottigepalya Satara Road 480 481, you’ll find us at Hastivadana Engineers. It’s a busy spot and there’s usually a lot of noise coming from the workshop. We do a lot of repairs and custom parts, so there’s always something being welded or cut. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by midday, but we try to sweep up before we head home. It’s a dusty job and our clothes usually show it. We’ve got a couple of big machines that have been with us since the start. They aren’t the newest models, but they work perfectly for what we need. Most of our guys have been working with their hands since they were kids. We don’t spend much time in the office part unless we have to deal with bills or orders. It’s hot in the summer with all the machinery running, so we keep the big doors open for air. Sometimes customers come in with parts that are so old we have to figure out how to fix them on the fly. That’s the fun part of the job, really. We don’t promise miracles, but we know our way around an engine or a blueprint. It’s honest work and it keeps the lights on. We usually have a radio playing somewhere in the background to keep the energy up.
