Our office is right in the middle of Shivaji Nagar, so it’s never quiet around here. You can hear the traffic and the shouting from the street all day long. Inside, it’s mostly just us answering the phones and trying to keep the schedule straight for the drivers. There are maps pinned to the wall and some old calendars that we never bothered to take down. It gets a bit cramped when a few people come in at the same time to book a trip or ask about rates. We spend a lot of time on the phone, checking where the cars are or if there’s a delay on the highway. Sometimes the internet goes out and we have to do everything on paper, which is a mess, but we manage. The desk is usually covered in receipts and half-empty water bottles. We don't have a fancy lobby or air conditioning that works all the time, just a couple of fans spinning overhead. People usually know where to find us because of the big tree near the entrance. It’s a lot of coordination and some days everything goes wrong with the traffic, but we just keep at it. Usually, we're here until late in the evening making sure everyone got to where they were going. It’s just how things are run in this part of town, nothing too complicated or polished about it.
