Harnarain Gokalchand

We’ve been here at New Tharagpet 3rd Cross 89 for quite a while now. Most days start early because the market around here gets moving before the sun is even fully up. It’s a busy spot, and sometimes the trucks blocking the road make it hard to get inside, but we manage. Harnarain Gokalchand is just a regular place where we get our work done without much fuss. If you’ve walked down this lane, you probably saw our sign, though it might be a bit faded by now. We don’t spend a lot of time worrying about how things look, we just focus on the orders and making sure the counts are right. People know us for being consistent. It’s not a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. We have wooden desks that have been here since the start and shelves that are packed to the top. The tea guy comes by around ten and that’s usually the best part of the morning. Most of our neighbors are also doing similar stuff, so we all know each other well enough to nod or share some news. Working in this part of the city teaches you patience. You can't be in a hurry when the traffic is this tight. We just open the shutters, sweep the floor, and wait for the first person to walk in. It’s a simple way to spend the day and we’re used to it.
