Hanuman Gift Centre

We’ve been here at Sridev Shopping Arcade for a good while now. It’s right across from Raja Market in Nagarathpet, so the area is always packed with people moving around and shouting. Most days start early for us, getting all the boxes moved and making sure the shelves look okay for anyone walking in. We have all kinds of things like small plastic toys, frames, and items people pick up for birthdays or weddings. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic and the shoppers, but inside we just try to keep things organized enough to find what people need. Usually, it’s just us talking to folks who walk in while they are looking for a quick present on their way home. The shop isn't huge, but we pack a lot in. Sometimes the stock takes up too much space on the floor and we have to step over it. People know us because we’re easy to find near that main market entrance. It’s a simple setup. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the other shopkeepers nearby when it's quiet. Nagarathpet has a specific way about it, very busy and old-school. We handle the billing ourselves and try to remember what our regulars like to buy. It’s not fancy work, but it keeps us busy from morning till we close up the shutters at night. The lights in the arcade can be a bit dim sometimes, but we’ve got our spot fixed up well enough.
