Haddina Kallu Hanumantharaya Swami Tours & Travels has been operating out of 34 Kamakshi Palya for several years. Our office is on Nagindas Master Road, which is a place we’ve come to know very well. It is a long name for a business, we know, but it means a lot to us and our family. Most of the time, we are busy coordinating drivers and making sure the cars are clean and the petrol tanks are full. Travel is one of those things that sounds fun until you have to manage the schedules of ten different people all going to different places. We spend a lot of our time on the phone, talking to people about their trip plans or telling a driver how to find a tricky address. Our office isn't much more than a couple of desks and a wall calendar that is usually covered in scribbles and highlights. We aren't trying to be some giant holiday company that sells expensive packages. We just provide a way for people to get from one place to another, whether it's for a wedding, a pilgrimage, or just a trip out of town. The mornings start early here, often before the sun is even up, because that is when the first groups want to head out. It is a tiring job sometimes, but seeing the cars head out on the road gives us a bit of a good feeling. We just keep things moving.
