H M S Roadlines operates out of Ritika Apartments in Bangalore. It might seem a bit odd to have a transport-related business located in an apartment complex, but it’s where we’ve had our base for a while now. We deal with trucks and moving various goods across the long roads. Most of our day is spent on the phone, checking where the drivers are or making sure a specific load got picked up on time like it was supposed to. Bangalore traffic is always a massive headache for us, so that ends up being a big part of our daily conversations. We aren't some big corporate firm with a glass building and fancy suits. We’re just a small team working out of this spot in Karnataka. The paperwork for the roadlines takes up most of our desk space. We have maps pinned up on the walls and notebooks full of dates, times, and plate numbers. It gets really busy, especially when a shipment is running late or a driver runs into some kind of trouble on the highway. We don't really have a lot of time for fancy talk or marketing. We just want to make sure things get from point A to point B without too much drama for anyone involved. Living and working in Bangalore means you have to be fast, but we try to just stay steady and keep things moving. The people living at Ritika Apartments are used to us being around. We’ve been here long enough.
