H K G N Hardware is right on the Sarjapur Marthalli Main Road. We are in the Mosque Building, which is hard to miss if you're coming from the bus stop. It's a very busy spot with people always rushing around. We've got shelves full of all sorts of things people need for their homes or projects. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to keep a lot of stock. You might have to move a bucket or some pipes to get through the aisle, but that’s just how it is. Being near the bus stop means we get people dropping in all day. Some are just looking, others know exactly what nut or bolt they need. We don't do fancy displays. The stuff is there on the shelves or in bins. If we don't have it, we usually know where you can find it. The traffic on Marthalli Main Road is always heavy, so it's a noisy place to work. But we like the energy of the street. It’s a local shop for local people. No big corporate rules here, just us trying to help out whoever walks through the door. It’s a practical business and we’ve been here in the Mosque Building for a while now. The building has a lot of history. Sometimes the dust from the road gets on the tools, so we have to wipe them down every morning. We don't have an automated checkout. We just add it up on a piece of paper or a small calculator. That's how we run things in this busy part of town.
