You can find us at 145 Gandhi Nagar, right on Marisamappa Lane near the S J P Road Cross. It’s a bit of a squeeze to get down the lane sometimes, especially when there are deliveries happening nearby. Gurudeva Trasad K T has been here for a long time. The building is old and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it serves its purpose. We don’t spend much time worrying about how the place looks to outsiders. We are too busy with the actual work. It’s a small operation, just a handful of us who have known each other forever. We don’t have a human resources department or any of that corporate stuff. If there’s a problem, we just talk it out over tea. The S J P Road area is always chaotic, but there’s a certain rhythm to it that we like. We know the tea seller on the corner and the guy who runs the hardware shop down the street. We don’t go in for big marketing campaigns or anything flashy. Most people just stumble upon us or hear about us from a neighbor. The work can be tiring, and some days are better than others, but that’s just how it is. We keep our heads down and stay focused on what’s in front of us. It’s a plain, honest way to make a living in this part of the city.
