Gulecha Time Agencies

Chickpet is always a bit of a mess, but it’s our mess. We are located at Krishna Complex, number 591, right opposite the Vijay Lakshmi Theatre. If the movies are letting out, it gets really loud, but otherwise, we just listen to the traffic and the people shouting in the market. Gulecha Time Agencies has been in this spot for a good while. We mostly handle watches and clocks, acting as an agency for different brands. The shop isn’t very big, and we have shelves stacked high with boxes. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to retailers who come in to pick up their stock. It’s not a fancy showroom with carpets and bright lights. It’s more of a working office and store. We have tea twice a day, usually brought in from the stall down the lane. The floor is concrete and the desks are old wood. We don’t use many big words or try to act like we are some huge company. We just do our business, keep our records in order, and try to stay out of the heat. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit in the dark for a bit talking to whoever is there. It’s just a regular local business life in the middle of a busy Bangalore market. We stay open late most nights because that’s when Chickpet is busiest and the energy is high.
