About Guest Relation Executive – Tourism in Bengaluru
I work out of Naduchitte in the Karki area of Honnavar, which is in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka. It is a very green and quiet place compared to the big cities. My work involves guest relations, so I spend a lot of time talking to visitors who come to see the coast or the local temples. I don't have a big corporate office. Usually, I'm just meeting people where they stay or at a small local spot. The roads here are narrow and wind through the trees. Sometimes the mobile network is a bit weak, so I have to walk to the main road to get a good signal for calls. It is a very different way of working than what you see in places like Bangalore. People here move a bit slower and take the time to talk. I help out with travel plans, finding good local food, and making sure everyone feels welcome in our village. There isn't a lot of paperwork or fancy systems. I just keep a notebook and use my phone. Sometimes the rains are so heavy that everything stops for a day or two. That is just how life is in coastal Karnataka. I enjoy meeting new people and showing them the quiet side of our town. It’s a simple job but it keeps me busy with the locals and the guests who pass through our area.
