Graduate Engineer

Down here in Palakkad, Kerala, we run our engineering work out of a place called Avittom in Ramanthapuram. It’s a quiet area, which is good when you need to focus on technical drawings or calculations. As a Graduate Engineer, the work is mostly about solving practical problems and making sure things are built the right way. We don't have a big office building with a glass front. It’s more of a traditional setup where we keep our tools, plans, and books. The weather in Kerala can be quite humid, so we usually have the fans going full blast while we work. We spend a lot of time visiting sites around Ramanthapuram or sitting at the drafting table. It’s not a fast-paced corporate environment. We take things slow and make sure the details are correct. Sometimes we have neighbors stop by to ask for advice on a small repair, and we help out if we can. We don’t have any marketing people or a big sales pitch. People usually hear about us through word of mouth in the local community. It’s a steady kind of life, focused on the math and the physical reality of building stuff. We enjoy being in Palakkad and the pace of life here suits the kind of careful work we do. There’s always a new project to look at, but we handle them one by one without any big fuss.
