Grace Gift Centre

We run a gift shop at 292 Byappanahalli. It is a small space but we have managed to cram a lot of things into it over the years. You can find everything from birthday cards and toys to small household items that people might need in a hurry. The shelves are quite high and sometimes we have to use a stool to reach the stuff at the top. It can get a bit dusty because of all the construction going on in Byappanahalli lately. The metro station isn't too far away, so we get some people walking by after work. It’s mostly just a one or two-person job running the place. We spend a lot of time arranging the window display to show what’s new, even though it’s just basic things. The floor is tiled but some of them are cracked from when we moved the heavy display cases. We don't have a fancy computer system for the sales; we still write everything down in a notebook. Some days are very quiet and we just sit and listen to the radio. Other days, like during festivals, it gets so crowded that it's hard to move around inside. We have some regular customers from the neighborhood who stop by just to say hello. It’s a modest little shop and it keeps us occupied throughout the week. We just try to keep things organized.
