Goyal Fruit Farms

Goyal Fruit Farms is situated over on Makkan Road, Sector 24 Main Road in Shri Nagar 82/1. We spend a lot of our time out in the orchards. Dealing with fruit means you are always at the mercy of the seasons. Some months are incredibly busy with picking and packing, while others are slower. We have a lot of crates stacked up and the smell of whatever is ripe usually fills the air. It’s a family business and we’ve been on this land for quite a while. We aren't some massive industrial operation. It is mostly just us and a few helpers during the harvest. The ground can get pretty muddy when it rains, and we’re always checking the trees for pests or dry soil. People come by the farm to buy crates or just to see what’s fresh. We don't have a big marketing plan or a fancy website. We just grow what we can and sell it to whoever needs it. It’s hard on the hands and you’re on your feet all day long. Sometimes the crop is good and sometimes it’s not, but that’s farming for you. We just keep going day after day. Shri Nagar has grown around us, but we still have our patch of green here. It’s a simple way to make a living and we’re used to the cycle of the trees. We just hope for good rain and plenty of sunshine for the next harvest.
