Gowrishankara Heritage Tours

We’ve been based out of Hanumanth Nagar for quite a long time now. Our office is located at 23/1 on the 7th Cross, right near the Colony Main area. It’s a busy little neighborhood with lots of people moving about. We focus on heritage tours, mostly showing folks the older parts of the city and some of the historical spots further out. It isn't a big operation with lots of fancy stuff. It’s just us and a couple of desks. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking about the old days. Other times, the phone rings constantly and we are scrambling to get everything sorted for a group. The traffic around here can be a real mess in the evenings, so we usually try to wrap things up before it gets too bad. My cousin helps me out with the bookings and we keep everything in a few thick ledgers. We don't really bother with much technology besides the basic stuff. It works for us and people seem to find their way here just fine. We like the local feel of Hanumanth Nagar. There is a small tea stall just down the road where we usually go twice a day. It’s a simple life running this place. We aren't trying to be the biggest in town, just doing our bit and keeping the tours running as best as we can. We've been at 23/1 for many years and don't plan on moving anytime soon.
