Goreal Software Private Limited is situated up on the twelfth floor, unit A 1202, in the Shriram Symphonye building. This is out in Mallasandra, along the KKP Road. Being in Bangalore Rural means it’s a bit of a trek for some, but the air feels a little clearer out here than in the city center. The office is basically a converted apartment space, which gives it a very casual feel. We have a couple of rooms set up with monitors and keyboards. Most of the time, the only sound you hear is the clicking of keys and the hum of the air conditioner. We started this company because we wanted to build software on our own terms. We don’t have a boss in a tie telling us what to do every five minutes. We just pick a task and get on with it. The balcony has a decent view of the surrounding area, which is nice when you need a break from staring at a screen. We keep things pretty informal. There’s no dress code, and we don't have those long, boring meetings that could have been an email. It’s just a group of people trying to make things work. Sometimes we order food together if we’re staying late to finish a project. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living in the tech world without all the usual corporate baggage.
