Gopinath Farm Housh

Gopinath Farm Housh has been around Shivananda Circle for a good while. It is a bit of a landmark for people who live nearby. We spend most of our time out in the dirt or checking on the crops. It’s not a corporate farm with tons of staff. It is just us and the land. Sometimes the spelling on our signs gets a bit mixed up, like the word Housh, but that’s just how things ended up. We don't worry too much about the small details like that. What matters is the work we do every day. The weather really dictates our schedule. If it rains, we’re doing one thing, and if it’s dry, we’re doing another. People stop by sometimes to see what we are growing or just to get away from the noise of the circle for a minute. It can be hard work and your back definitely feels it by the end of the week. There’s always a fence to fix or something that needs watering. We like being outside though. Sitting in an office all day wouldn't suit us at all. We’ve lived here and worked this spot for years and seen the area change around Shivananda Circle quite a lot. Even with all the new buildings, we’re still here doing our thing on the farm. It is a quiet life, mostly, and we just keep our heads down and work. It’s what we know best after all this time.
