Gopal Krishna Fancy Store is tucked away at 210 Lakhminarayan Building. If you are looking for us, we are located right at the back side of Chandana Bakery on the 2nd Main Road in Kadugodi. The smell of fresh bread and cakes from the bakery next door is something we get to enjoy every single morning when we open up. Our store is filled with all sorts of small items, from hair clips to sewing kits and decorative things for the house. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we have so much stock squeezed onto the racks. We try our best to keep everything organized, but with so many different little pieces, it can be a challenge. Most of our customers are women from the local neighborhood who stop by while they are out getting their groceries. We have a small wooden stool behind the counter where I sit when there aren't many people around. The building itself is older and has a lot of character. We don't use any fancy barcodes or scanning machines here, we just know the prices of everything by heart mostly. It is a simple way to run a business, and we like the personal connection we have with the people who live around Kadugodi. It’s just a regular local shop where we spend our days chatting with neighbors and keeping the shelves full of whatever fancy items we can get.
