We are based in the Al Badar Complex on S P Road, specifically at 201/16 on the first floor. If you’ve ever been to Shivaji Nagar, you know how hectic S P Road can be. It’s always crowded with people buying electronics and hardware, and the noise is something else. Our office is up a narrow set of stairs that can be a bit tricky if you’re carrying boxes. The space itself is quite small and every inch of it is used for storage or workspace. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, filled with all sorts of things. It’s a bit dusty because of all the activity on the street below, so we’re always cleaning the surfaces. We don’t have a fancy waiting area or anything like that. If someone comes to see us, they usually just stand by the desk while we talk. The air inside can get a bit warm, but we have a small fan that helps. Most of our day is spent talking to customers and sorting through our inventory. It’s a very practical, no-nonsense environment. We’ve been in this complex for years and we know all the other shopkeepers around us. It’s a busy life, but we like being right in the center of all the trade and action. Sometimes the tea guy from downstairs comes up with a tray of glasses, and we take a quick five-minute break to catch our breath.
