Goodwill Apparel Impex

Nagdevi Street is always loud and crowded, so being up on the 5th floor at No. 247 is actually a bit of a relief from the noise down below. We have been running Goodwill Apparel Impex from this spot for a long while now. Getting the heavy stock up the stairs or using the small lift can be a bit of a chore, especially on hot days, but you get used to the routine. We deal with a lot of different clothing items coming in and going out every week. It is mostly boxes and piles of shirts or whatever else happens to be in demand at the moment. Our space isn't anything special to look at. It is just some old desks, a lot of paperwork piled up, and stacks of fabric samples everywhere you look. Sometimes we lose track of time because there are not many windows in the storage area where we spend most of our hours. Our days are mostly spent on the phone or checking through the long inventory lists to make sure the numbers match the shipments. It is a lot of practical, repetitive work. We do not have a showroom, so it is just a workspace where we get things sorted for the next big truck. The tea guy comes around at four, which is usually when we take a short break to breathe. We know most of the other folks in the building. It is a tight-knit spot despite the climb.
