Our office is on the third floor of Novel Tech Park down in GB Palya. It’s right there on Hosur Road, which means we spend a lot of time looking out at the traffic jams. Working in a tech park has its ups and downs. The building is okay, and we have our own space where we set up our computers and get to work. Most of us are usually staring at screens for hours, trying to fix bugs or write some code that actually works the way it’s supposed to. It’s not as glamorous as people think. We drink a lot of coffee and have those long meetings that probably could have been an email, but that’s the way it goes in software. We have some other companies on the same floor, so you see people wandering around the hallways all the time. Lunch is usually a quick affair at one of the nearby spots or something brought from home. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations or anything like that. It’s just rows of desks and a lot of cables everywhere. Some days the internet acts up or a server goes down and everyone gets a bit stressed, but we usually figure it out eventually. We aren't doing anything world-changing every single day, just chipping away at tasks and making sure the software does what it needs to do for the users. It is just steady work in a busy part of Bangalore.
