Goldfinch Hotel

The Goldfinch Hotel is located at Doojappa Nivas, which is right near the Urwa Mansion flats and the Urwa Store in Mangalore. We aren't one of those massive, tall hotels you see in the city center. Our place is more of a local building that’s been converted to host guests. We have a number of rooms that we keep as clean and comfortable as we can. It’s a fairly quiet area, though you do hear the sounds of the neighborhood throughout the day. We have a small staff who looks after the cleaning and the check-ins. Many of our guests are people visiting their relatives in Mangalore or people who are in town for some quick work. We don’t have a big fancy lobby with a fountain or anything like that. It’s just a front desk and a place to sit. We’ve been here for a long time, and the locals all know where we are. Because we are near the Urwa Store, it’s easy for our guests to find whatever they need nearby. Mangalore is a coastal city, so it gets very humid, but we make sure the rooms stay ventilated. We don't do much in terms of advertising. People usually just find us by walking by or through recommendations from others who have stayed here before. It’s a practical, honest place to stay if you just need a room for the night in this part of town, so you are always welcome.
