Glory Export Enterprises

Working at Glory Export Enterprises on Kempamma Devi Road means dealing with a lot of boxes and tape. Our building is an old one, and it has that specific smell of cardboard and dust that you get in storage places. We spend our mornings checking lists and packing things up. It’s mostly just a few of us here, making sure the labels are on straight and the counts are right. Kempamma Devi Road can be a bit of a squeeze when the delivery vans try to back in, and we’ve had our fair share of shouting matches with drivers over parking space. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. You walk in and you’re basically in the middle of the workspace. There’s a ceiling fan that squeaks a bit on high speed, but it keeps the air moving during the hotter months. We keep the ledgers in a metal cabinet that’s seen better days. Every afternoon, we take a break for some snacks from the lady who sets up her cart down the street. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we’ve gotten quite fast at it over the years. Sometimes we have to stay late if a shipment is running behind. We don't use much technology beyond the basics. It’s mostly just manual labor and keeping track of where everything is supposed to go.
