Our office is located at the Global Trade Centre, 6/2 Brigade Champak on Union Street. It’s right there by Infantry Cross Road. It sounds like a big fancy name, Global Engineering Development Corporation Ltd, but inside we’re just a bunch of regular people working on engineering problems. The area around here is always buzzing with activity and noise. We've been in this building for some time now. It’s a convenient spot for us, even if the traffic on Infantry Road is a total headache most afternoons. We mostly deal with technical drawings and project planning. The office has piles of paper everywhere, despite everyone saying things should be digital now. We usually have a small radio playing in the background while we work to keep things from being too quiet. It’s a professional enough environment but we don't stand on ceremony too much. We talk to our clients like regular people. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go in this trade centre over the years, but we’ve managed to stay put. It’s a solid place to work from. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, eating takeout at our desks. It’s not particularly glamorous, but it’s the work we chose. We just aim to get the engineering right and keep things moving forward without too much fuss or drama.
