Ginger Operations Trainee

This place is down on 4th Street in Bharath Nagar, which is part of the Ernavur area in Chennai. It’s number 29 if you are looking for the gate. It isn't a big flashy office, just where we handle the training and day-to-day operations stuff for Ginger. Most of the time it’s just us sitting at the desks going through files or talking about how to get things done better. Chennai gets really hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fans going full blast and try to get the heavy work done before noon. The street outside is usually quiet except for the occasional delivery bike or kids playing nearby. We’ve been at this address for a bit now and it suits what we need. It’s a simple setup with a few rooms and some chairs. You won't find any big signs or fancy decorations here. It’s just a workspace. We drink a lot of tea and try to stay on top of the paperwork that comes in every week. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour and we just wait it out. It’s a local operation and we know the neighbors pretty well. There’s a small shop around the corner where we grab snacks. We aren't trying to be anything huge, just a group of people working together in a residential part of town and making sure the daily tasks are finished before we go home. It’s just a regular job for us.
