Ginger Hotel

We have been operating here at 70, 3rd Cross for a good number of years now. It is a fairly busy corner of Jayanagar, specifically on the 2nd Main. Usually, you will see one of us sweeping the front steps early in the morning before the Mysore sun gets too hot for anyone to be outside. The road gets a lot of traffic, especially during the times when tourists are flocking to see the palace and the other sights nearby. Inside the building, it is mostly just us trying to keep everything tidy and ensuring the rooms are ready for whoever might walk through the door. My own desk is usually covered in various papers, guest logs, and sets of keys. Sometimes the lady who sells tea comes by twice a day, and that is honestly the highlight of our afternoon. We do not have anything too fancy or high-end here, just the basic things you would expect from a local hotel in this city. The whole neighborhood has changed quite a bit over the years with new shops and cafes opening up all around us, but we are still here at the same spot. It gets quite noisy outside around five in the evening, but that is just part of city life. Most people seem to find us easily because we are right near the main intersection. We spend a lot of our time checking light bulbs and making sure the plumbing is okay. It is a lot of effort to keep things running.
