Get Connect

Our spot is in Shivaji Nagar, over at C P Nagar 97. Get Connect isn't a very large operation, but we stay busy. The area is always crowded, so getting to work can be a bit of a struggle if you're driving. Most of us take the bus or walk from the nearest stop. The office is basically one big room where we all sit together. It gets a bit noisy when everyone is on the phone at the same time. We deal with connections and making sure people can stay in touch, which involves a lot of technical stuff that would bore most people. The walls are a plain off-white color and could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it. We have a small corner for making tea, though the kettle takes forever to boil. Sometimes the power goes out and we all just sit there waiting for the backup to kick in, chatting about whatever is on the news. It’s a very grounded atmosphere. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just make sure the links are active and the data is moving. It’s the kind of place where you can wear your regular clothes and not worry about looking like a corporate executive. We just want to finish our tasks and go home to our families at the end of the day.
