Our shop is tucked away at 33, Sharavathi Layout. If you’re heading through Virgo Nagar Post or Bhattrahalli, you’ve probably passed by without noticing us much. We are right here in the K.R.Puram area. General Air Conditioning Pvt Ltd has been our life for quite some time now. The place is usually full of parts, copper pipes, and old units we’re working on. It’s a bit messy, honestly, but that’s because we’re always in the middle of a job. We have grease on our hands most days. It isn't a showroom with shiny floors. It’s a workshop. We spend our mornings packing the bags with tools and checking the bikes before heading out to different houses and offices. When the heat starts to pick up in Bangalore, the phone starts ringing non-stop. Everyone wants their cooling fixed right away. Sometimes we are working late into the evening just to finish one last repair. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, which is nice. We get our lunch from the small eatery down the road and usually eat it sitting on whatever crates are around. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how these machines work. We’ve seen all kinds of broken fans and leaky pipes over the years. It’s hard work, and your back hurts by the end of the day, but it’s what we do. It’s a steady living in a busy part of town.
